School Hours:
8:55 am to 3:00 pm

Supervision in the playground from 8:30 am (before this time, students sit under the COLA)
Start of school: 8:55 am line up for 9:00 am start
Recess: 11:00 am to 11:20 am
Lunch: 1:00 pm 1:10 to 1:50 pm
End of school 3:00 pm

Holidays: Monday 14 April to Friday 25 April 2025
School Development Days (for staff only): Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 April
Return to school for students in Term 2: Wednesday 30 April

Hats

Hats must be worn whenever we are outside.
We have a “no hat, no play” policy.

New hats are available at the office for $20.

Payment can be made at the office (cash or EFTPOS) or on School Bytes by choosing “Add other item” on payments.

Our Facebook page remains a good source of general information about school happenings.

Payments & Permissions

South West Rocks Public School uses School Bytes for online payments and permissions, using either the portal (website) or the app.

Please ensure that all permissions and payments are completed as soon as possible using the School Bytes app/portal. More information is available on the school website under the "Make a Payment" option.

Please contact the school office if you need help with School Bytes setup.

Class Dojo

Parents and carers have several direct ways to communicate with teachers, including the telephone, email, face-to-face meetings and Class Dojo.

Invitations to Class Dojo will be sent early Term 1.

South West Rocks OOSH

Out-of-school-Hours (OOSH) care is provided by Kempsey Family Day Care Inc for before and after school care and school holiday vacation care.

Services provided:

Before School Care
7am to 9am Monday to Friday
After School Care
3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday
Vacation Care and Pupil Free Days
8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with preference given to children who attend before and after school care
Services do not operate on Public Holidays

Children can start using the service from 1st January the year they are enrolled to attend primary school.
