Steps to enrolment
Enrolment steps for Kindergarten in 2027:
- Please complete an online enrolment
- Once you have enrolled, the school will be in touch to arrange a meeting with the principal.
- Verify your address - see list of documents here
- Attend Student Orientations (see details below), and Parent Information Sessions will be announced later in the year.
- Buy uniforms.
- At the start of the kindergarten year students will have a "Best Start" interview. For more information about Best Start, see this fact sheet.

We have written a story book!
Be sure to read "My new school" social story
for children starting Kindergarten. It is a great story to read with your children over and over before they start school.

- School Bytes app/website for payments and excursion permissions, but cannot set you up until after your child has started at school. See the here for more information about the School Bytes. Once started at school, please contact school if you need help with setup. Online payment is always preferred, but you can also pay by cash or EFTPOS at the office.
- General School Information Book with information about teaching staff, bell times, uniforms, canteen, P&C, communication, etc. [This book needs updating, some of the information is out of date.]
Eye Check Clinics (Message from NSW Health)
Is your child starting school?
Have they had their eyes checked?
This can be done at our free StEPS Clinics, conducted by Nurses, trained in Eye screening, at The Integrated Community Care Centre, Kempsey District Hospital, corner of Polwood & Tozer Streets.

Centrelink’s “Healthy Start for school” health check requires an eye screen with StEPS or an Optometrist, if you receive Family Tax Benefit A & Income support, for full payments to continue after the child’s 5th birthday. An Optometrist eye assessment is covered by Medicare. If you can’t attend a StEPS vision screening clinic, please go to an Optometrist. Take your blue baby book or obtain a report, for school enrolment, Centrelink and your health records. Optometrist checks are bulk-billed with Medicare.
